These paddles are especially helpful in training a patient to use a telescope or to evaluate or train a patient in the use of eccentric viewing, but their use is certainly not limited to these applications. For targets the paddles have single numbers, or optotypes, like one would find on a visual acuity chart. The paddles have handles which makes it easy to move the paddles and to reverse them, changing the side that is visible to the patient.

The set consists of six paddles, a pair for each of three sizes of optotype. For each pair, one of the paddles is blank on one side. The optotypes are LEA NUMBERS®, and the sizes are printed on the paddles: 200 feet (60 meters), 80 feet (24 meters) and 32 feet (9.5 meters). These distances in feet or meters represent how far away you would need to hold the paddle for a person with 20/20 (6/6) vision to be barely able to identify the optotype. The paddles change size in logMAR steps of 0.4.

Low vision booklet with LEA NUMBERS® characters is designed for testing of severely visually impaired children and adults. This complete book includes testing for 10' (3 meters), 5' (1.5 meters) and for near vision at 16". (40 cm). Distance testing line sizes range from 20/1600 to 20/16 equivalent. Near vision testing line sizes range from 20/800 to 20/16 equivalent.

The LEA NUMBERS® low vision booklet can be purchased with binding either on the left side or top. The booklet can also be purchased alone or part of a set that includes butterfly occluder glasses for children and metal frame occluder glasses (shown).

When comparing visual acuity results with ETDRS, study results suggest the LEA Numbers Low Vision Book has a slight advantage over the Feinbloom chart when testing individuals with vision impairment.

This easy-to-use low vision card was developed to mimic reading from left to right. Printed answers on back of card allows the tester to follow the patient's testing results.

This is an expanded version of our popular Amsler Grid Book and provides 7 Amsler Grids and a score sheet master. In addition to the 4 grids we’ve always included, this expanded booklet adds the White Dots, Parallel Line and Parallel Line with Central Line Grids. In addition to the Standard Grid, the Red on Black is used to diagnose a color scotoma.The White Dots Grid reveals a scotoma without distortion. The two Parallel Line Grids are used for with patients needing a more simplified Amsler Grid and are presented both horizontally and vertically. Each of the small squares on the Grid with Small Squares approximates 1/2 degree and is used for patients with small, central scotomata.

Wolff Wands provide specialized fixation targets used in various procedures such as Retinoscopy, Cover Test, and Ocular Motility. Various techniques employ the wands to evaluate accommodative lag, anisometropia, near point convergence, tracking, peripheral awareness and saccadic eye movements.

The Acrylic Fixation Sticks come are available with either a 1" (25 mm) or 1 1/2" (38 mm) polished acrylic ball on the end. The rods are covered in comfortable black plastic coating material for durability.

Low vision Reading Card with 16"/40 cm attached measuring cord in either English or German language. Chart contains continuous text with line sizes ranging from 20/320 to 20/16 (6/95 to 6/4.8) equivalent. The card also contains Letter Size, Decimal, logMAR and M Size notations.
